AIA Window Display Competition Award Winner.
Philadelphia, PA. 2006

This project evokes thoughts of a dynamic and snowy blizzard. A visually kinetic assembly of materials and light celebrates the season and elegantly showcases a new line of fixtures. These are suspended or placed within this blizzard, and the radiance of each light “melts” the surrounding metal veils. The resulting scalloping subliminally articulates the photometric properties of each light. Hanging veils of perforated metal sheets, painted white, will create a constantly changing reading of the display. Due to a combination of the layering of metal sheets and their perforation, both lenticular and moiré effects animate the display as a vehicular or pedestrian viewer passes the window.
